Politecnico Milano Merit Based International Scholarships

Politecnico di Milano, one of Italy's leading technical universities, provides a variety of scholarships for talented international students admitted to their Master of Science programs.

Who Can Apply?

These scholarships are aimed at international students enrolling in a first-year Master of Science program taught in English at any of the Politecnico di Milano campuses.

Scholarship Value and Benefits

All merit-based scholarships at Politecnico di Milano include full tuition fee exemption for the entire academic year. Depending on the scholarship, students can also receive:

- Platinum Scholarships: €10,000 gross

- Gold Scholarships: €8,000 gross

- Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship: €5,000 gross (for Agricultural Engineering or Music and Acoustic Engineering at Polo di Cremona)

- Gold "Morigi" Polo di Piacenza Scholarships: Accommodation with meals at Collegio Morigi (for Sustainable Architecture, Landscape Design, or Energy Engineering at Polo di Piacenza)

- Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships: €2,500 gross (for Mechanical Engineering - Mechatronics for Manufacturing at Polo di Piacenza)

- Silver Scholarships: Full tuition fee exemption for the academic year (available at Polo di Cremona, Lecco, Mantova, and Piacenza)

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, international students must apply for a Master of Science program taught in English at one of the specified campuses for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Application Deadlines

- First Semester (starting September 2024):

  - First Round: 15 January 2024 – 1 March 2024

  - Second Round: 8 April 2024 – 30 April 2024

  - Third Round: 6 May 2024 – 13 June 2024


- Second Semester (starting February 2025):

  - Fourth Round: 17 June 2024 – 15 July 2024


Students who are not awarded scholarships in the first two rounds will automatically be considered in the third round, unless they cancel their application.

How to Apply

You can apply for the Merit-Based International Scholarships through the online portal:

1. Navigate to Benefits and Agreements > Economic benefits > Scholarships for International Master of Science Students a.y. 2024-2025.

2. Upload a document answering the following questions:

   - What makes you an outstanding student besides your grades? (max. 200 words)

   - Why are you interested in pursuing an MSc at Politecnico di Milano, and how will this scholarship help you achieve your academic and career goals? (max. 500 words)
